I've been running a Synology DS411j since January 2012 and it has and is still performing brilliantly. What prompted me to write this review though was my latest experience with their support. Bearing in mind this is an eight year old product, I contacted them with a technical config question. There response (as usual) was awesome. The issue was quickly passed back to head office and issues checked with the development team. I had a fast resolution to the issue and the NAS is now reconfigured perfectly. This is all free support for a product I've owned and run for 8 years! I wish other companies offered this level of service.
