My initial concern was cost. Looking for a way to deal with filing, and not go broke doing so. Less than half the quote from the big green guys. Check one. Then the process. So much easier to understand, upload the appropriate documents, safe and secure, easy to communicate with my preparer, and know along the way what to expect. Check, check, check, and check. It is clear, safe, easy, and affordable.
I've been using Taxes for Expats for years. I've never had an issue. Their interface is easy to use and communication is prompt. They understand expat tax issues for countries around the world, which is key when living abroad.
TFX makes it very easy to file taxes. The tax advisor I worked with was very efficient and made the process so easy. I can't imagine an easier process. Even the documentation I had to fill out in the beginning was so clear. Thank you for making it so easy!
This first year was complicated it was the first year of my husband and I filing jointly and I was considered a dual status alien plus I had to file my first FBAR. TFX made it relatively easy to navigate this process and advise whether it was best to file separately or jointly etc. I was originally considering trying to do this myself and now I’ve seen what’s involved I’m so glad I didn’t. Very professional service and will use them again.
I wanted to comment on my EA, Sherrie Weldon. She’s done a great job for me and has made an impressive introduction to TFX’s world class prowess. Sherrie is very responsive and answers questions and indeed completed my Federal Tax Return quickly, (which is hugely beneficial, as I like to file ASAP). I look forward to working with Sherrie & TFX again next year.
