If you have a very simple tax return, this service might work, but frankly, simple returns are easy enough to do yourself on the HMRC website with a quick Google search.
My experience with the "All-in" package (costing £170) was frustrating and misleading:
Hidden Limits: The service is not truly "all-in". After uploading my files, I was told I had exceeded a 20-document limit and had to create my own summary sheets. Even after reducing the count to 15, I was told that holding shares jointly with my wife fell outside the standard service terms.
Wasted Time: With the self-assessment deadline just six days away and repeated requests for summary sheets of data collated and uploaded. Then being informed my situation (joint account with wife) exceeded the standard service. I was forced to give up and file the return myself.
Poor Admin: The booking system showed availability, but my accountant cancelled via email after I had paid. I agreed to rearrange, but then heard nothing and had to chase them down myself.
Verdict: The administrative chaos and hidden restrictions meant I wasted hours of time and £170 for a service I couldn't use.
