Taxi box turned out to be a decent choice for our interstate relocation. We managed to fit our two-bedroom unit, totaling 28 boxes, excluding large furniture and appliances, which we sold, except for a washing machine. These boxes are surprisingly effective, despite being underestimated by many. The drivers were extremely professional and courteous, showing great flexibility with pickup times. However, the booking system seems to struggle with timezone differences. When we booked the delivery in Queensland, everything was an hour ahead in our moving location in Victoria, and the system always displayed the times in Queensland time. This led to some confusion as we planned around the original Queensland times, resulting in our box being left unattended for 40 minutes while we were two hours away with family. We also ordered a lockpad with the service, which we used in Queensland, but when we received our taxi box in Victoria, the lockpad was not secured and fell off, which was quite worrying. Fortunately, nothing serious happened. This issue definitely needs to be addressed. In the future, we will consider using taxi box for city moves, but for interstate ones, we might explore other options.
