While my refund (state)was higher I was given the wrong refund amount because the instructions do not tell you if your kids no longer qualify as dependents you have to completely remove them from the form. I have used several formats (free tax, turbo tax etc.)and have never ever had to remove my kids completely..once I put in their info it automatically would tell me that they don’t qualify and would adjust internally. Tax slayer does not do that causing me to make the decision to pay extra for the audit protection cause it was showing we were getting more back so I wanted the extra security. I don’t pay for that kind of stuff if I have to pay . So before it was done my taxes were rejected and I had to figure out the problem and ended up owing federal taxes plus paying extra. Then they would not refund me for that part either. The program needs corrected
