Consistently good quality food

Consistently good quality food! It's changed a lot in the years that I've been going there, I don't like it when it's very busy now, it gets way too loud and significantly too smoky.. I much preferred it when it was a series of little shops, a little cafe with a garage extension on the corner, with a sweet shop next door and a takeaway next to that..

Avoid if you can...

On Saturday 3rd February I had a 7:45 PM booking for 3. I arrived at the venue to find chaos and disorder. There was a line of people throughout the venue and sprawled on the street. When I got in, it was near impossible to get a member of staff to talk to. I spoke to someone in the queue who had already been waiting 15 mins past their booking time.My guests arrived within minutes after me, and we watched one person managing this hectic queue for nearly 30 mins before we could get their attention. They told us to give them 5 minutes. After another 10 minutes or so (nearly 8:30 PM) we managed to get his attention again. He asked if we were all present. I told him one of my guests just went to check on their car, he yelled “You're late”, I told him “No, you’re late. Look around you”, highlighting the mass of people who were waiting to be seated. He scurried off. At this point, we decided to leave as there was no telling when we’d be seated, how long we’d have to wait to be served, with the possibility of being hurried out.Based on how busy they were, clearly, they didn’t need our custom. The appeal of the place is lost on me. What’s more puzzling is their inability to manage a booking system. I can only assume they purposely overbook to ensure they stay busy.Fortunately, my guests and I weren’t celebrating a special occasion, but we could have been, and they would have ruined it. Fortunately, we landed on our feet elsewhere, at a place more deserving of our money.Based on this experience, I wouldn’t eat at Tayyabs if it were free.

I've been visiting regularly with my family, the food is great, the service sometimes is a bit slow, but would recommend it.
