My partner, who sadly passed away at 39, had a Teachers' Pension. We weren't married. The form says to provide two forms of evidence that we were financially co-dependent. To be helpful, I provided five: co-owned deeds to the house (2018), my daughter's birth certificate with me as the father (2019), a council tax bill, a joint bank statement, and a utility bill. Was this enough? No, it was not. They need another form of evidence that shows we have been co-dependent for more than two years. Surely a child and joint ownership of a house for seven years should be sufficient. Having to further prove our relationship while my daughter and I are going through the worst time of our lives is quite frankly disgusting. You should be ashamed.
