Some people hate being upsold, but honestly I don’t care if I’m spending more as long as it’s for the better, and in this case it absolutely was. They explained properly why the 70-200 GM II would suit my style of shooting, especially for festivals where you can’t always get close to the stage. The reach, the constant f/2.8 aperture, and the sharpness of that lens make a huge difference. It’s also surprisingly light for what it is, which matters when you’re on your feet all day.The Tilta cage was another smart recommendation. It makes the FX3 feel way more solid, adds heaps of mounting options for accessories, and just makes run and gun shooting easier and more practical. For the type of fast paced stuff I film, that extra flexibility helps a lot.What stood out the most was that they actually listened and explained everything in detail. It didn’t feel like they were just trying to bump the price up. Every recommendation made sense based on what I told them, and I walked out feeling confident in the whole setup.Really happy with both the gear and the service. If you’re serious about camera equipment and want proper advice, I’d definitely recommend Ted’s.
