The guards from my dentist broke after a few months and they were not comfortable even with repeat modifications. After my second dentist guard broke as I am a heavy grinder when I sleep, I started to research for other options. Luckily I found this amazing online company. I was skeptical but it was less than $100 to give them a try or return to the dentist for another $500 uncomfortable guards. It was the best decision I have made. The guards are durable (more than 5 years). I actually choose to replace them every 5 years because I grind them down but they have never torn. If it helps, I order the EXTRA DURABLE CUSTOM NIGHT GUARD - MAXIMUM DURABILITY AND COMFORT. They send you detailed instructions (and video) and two sets of mouth trays to create your mold (I use the small tray). You know which by trying it in your mouth before adding the putty. Their customer service is AMAZING, especially Lisa! I messed up my impressions (my fault) and they helped me get through it without stress or additional cost. I now order extra guard sets so I don’t worry if I misplace them as the extra sets are at a discount. They are slightly tight the first few days but then sooo comfortable that I don’t even like to take a 30-min nap without them. I am grateful for this company as my teeth would be a crazy mess without their guards.
