Coverage is absolutely awful - I have missed important calls multiple times WHILE actively using my phone, because Tello will go to zero bars while I’m in my house… within 25ft of a busy road… in a room with a large bay window… in the middle of a major city. I only realise I’ve missed the call when I see the voicemail left.
Other notable places I’ve been unable to make / receive calls or had calls cut-off halfway through (list non-exhaustive):
- in the middle of a city park
- on various streets in the open air, in the middle of said major city
- in a hospital in TWO different major cities, while awaiting an important call
I’ve spent hours on hold calling insurance / medical providers / administrative offices back because I missed their call WHILE STARING AT MY PHONE, thanks to Tello’s spotty service. Would not recommend.
(Note: My partner switched to another carrier from Tello because of these issues, and no longer struggles with coverage while in our own home, nor in any of the other places I mentioned.)
