Update: After posting this review -- not after pleading my case in email communications -- Tello has agreed to refund my balance on the prepaid portion, as asked. It begs the question as to why they have "keep the customer's money" as a default policy. Who is going to give Tello $20 to hold on to in case they use it, and then ask for it back months or years later as a personal financial strategy? Shouldn't the default position of PaYG be to refund the unused balance?
nternational roaming didn't work and so I was told they couldn't help me and I needed to port the number out. I was told the Pay as You Go credit would be refunded since it didn't work as advertised. Now that credit has evaporated and they won't refund it because, I was just told, because I ported the number out.
I was helped in no time . Dana was amazing , What makes this company great , among other things is custumer service . In the past I had questions or needed help and the agents were helpful , patient , professional , they always had an answer and fixed the problem . Waiting time under 1 minute .
Prices are great , no contracts , Joining Tello was the best decision I made years back and I suggest the service to everyone I know .

Coverage is absolutely awful - I have missed important calls multiple times WHILE actively using my phone, because Tello will go to zero bars while I’m in my house… within 25ft of a busy road… in a room with a large bay window… in the middle of a major city. I only realise I’ve missed the call when I see the voicemail left.
Other notable places I’ve been unable to make / receive calls or had calls cut-off halfway through (list non-exhaustive):
- in the middle of a city park
- on various streets in the open air, in the middle of said major city
- in a hospital in TWO different major cities, while awaiting an important call
I’ve spent hours on hold calling insurance / medical providers / administrative offices back because I missed their call WHILE STARING AT MY PHONE, thanks to Tello’s spotty service. Would not recommend.
(Note: My partner switched to another carrier from Tello because of these issues, and no longer struggles with coverage while in our own home, nor in any of the other places I mentioned.)
My phone was broken with my eSim. I was not able to find any resolution on the Help Center so I decided to e-mail Tello for help. Their reply was quick and Alex, the assistance agent, was super helpful and very calm. He helped me getting through step by step and finally fixed my problem. I really appreciated Alex for all the helps.
What a joke. I registered, verified myself and placed an order. But the order vanished in to thin air. No email no notification. Upon requesting an explanation i got this reply. What a nice way to tell your potential customer to FO LOL

Due to a simple payment issue, support mistreated me and suspended my account. I tried multiple payment methods without success, and no help was offered by them. I spent 2-3 days trying to set this up, without success or any help by them

I’m really pleased I changed my cell phone carrier; this service is honestly the best I’ve experienced in quite some time! Their plans are budget-friendly, just $25 a month for unlimited usage! I’m not tied down to a contract like with most providers. My reception and Wi-Fi are consistently reliable, with no interruptions, and the customer support is excellent as well!
