I recently ordered an item online, but it took 11 days to ship, and I didn't receive it until 22 days after placing the order. When I connected the item to my TV, it wouldn't power on, so I decided to return it. Upon checking the charges, I found they had split my payment into separate transactions. I contacted the payment service to clarify why some charges were on a credit card and others on my bank account, only to learn that I had unknowingly agreed to a subscription. I believe this is a scam to charge monthly fees. When I requested a refund, they offered a 25% refund while suggesting I keep the item. Why would I want to keep something that doesn't work? This is a clear scam.
