What should have been straightforward turned into a confusing, exhausting mess that I’m still trying to sort out.I reached out to Terminix for one issue, expecting clarity and support, not a surprise $1,800 contract I never agreed to. No one mentioned it, no one asked, and yet there it was on my account as if my consent didn’t matter at all.What makes it almost surreal is that they also enrolled me in mosquito control—in November, in New Jersey, when even the mosquitoes have packed up and gone home. Then came the moment I walked outside and saw they had sprayed my organic garden with chemicals. No warning, no conversation, no chance for me to protect the space I’ve nurtured. And despite all of that, they still didn’t treat the actual problem I called for.They promised to return in two weeks for a follow-up. Instead, they pushed it out an entire month, leaving the original issue untouched. Every attempt to get answers or even a sliver of accountability has only drained more of my time. I’ve spent more than five hours on the phone begging them to fix their mistake—cancel the contract I never signed, refund the money they never should have taken, and make things right.I wish the worst part was the hassle. But the truth is, the real blow is knowing I still need to hire someone else to actually solve the problem they ignored.If I could give zero stars, I would. This was careless, dishonest, and deeply frustrating from start to finish.
