I booked an MOT and service through AA Smart Care Ref: 2571555 specifically for the 'hassle-free' collection and delivery. It has been a complete disaster. My car was collected on Wednesday the 25th and was supposed to be returned today at 1 pm. It is now a week later, and I still don’t have my vehicle.
The communication between the AA and their garage network is shambolic. I’ve had to do all the chasing myself. The garage claims the AA is unresponsive to emails, and I had to personally call the AA just to get the paperwork moving for work that was only 'recommended' and not even essential.
As a mother with a brand-new baby and a six-year-old, this has caused significant hardship. I have spent over £100 on taxis and, even worse, I have physically injured myself struggling to get a newborn in and out of taxis twice a day in a car seat because I’ve been left stranded.
This service cost me £200 and was sold as a 'convenient' alternative, but it has cost me more in money, time, and health than any local garage ever would. I expect a full refund and compensation for my taxi expenses and the distress caused."
