* Honest Review Aug2025"Following a review process initiated by the clinic, Trustpilot confirmed on 21.01.2026 that my review was not defamatory and accurately reflected my personal experience. As a result, this is reinstated honest review.I am genuinely pleased to see that the clinic has since introduced changes aimed at improving clarity and client experience, which will hopefully benefit people seeking support for autoimmune conditions. That said, there was a clear misalignment between the service provided and my expectations, and my review reflects this reality rather than any exaggeration. The consultation lacked technical depth, I would not recommend services to my friends and regret signing up in Aug2025. Key points from my experience:1. My stated goal- clearly outlined in my emails, intake forms, and assessment- was to first identify root causes through appropriate investigation, including gut testing, before introducing new supplements. However, I was given a protocol that was not fully explained during the consultation and was advised to begin eight expensive new supplements and probiotics immediately, without prior testing or a clear rationale. I specifically asked for gut testing so that we could work with data rather than hypotheses. This request was not addressed. The protocol also contained generic dietary advice, errors, and broken links.2. Despite providing a detailed 18-year health history prior to the consultation, the only test recommended was a basic IgE allergy panel, which I did not feel was sufficient given my symptoms and complexity.3. I paid over £500 for the service, expecting careful communication and alignment with my clearly stated needs. Instead, there was a significant disconnect between my expectations and Muriel’s clinical approach, resulting in confusion and dissatisfaction rather than clarity.4. The protocol was not adequately explained during the consultation, and I was unable to ask meaningful questions at the time. Once I received the written protocol and raised serious concerns, I was informed that further discussion would require an additional paid consultation costing £300. At that stage, I decided it was not a good use of my time or money and requested to withdraw from the service.5. I appreciate that a pro-rata refund was issued. However, this does not change the fact that the experience itself did not meet my expectations for a premium-priced, individualised service.I wish The Autoimmune Clinic success in its mission of “getting to the root cause of your condition & symptoms” and hope the clinic continues to improve its services by maintaining transparency, setting realistic expectations, clearly explaining protocols, and ensuring that recommendations are evidence-based and appropriate for each individual client.
