Stay away from this company!

I strongly advise against this company. I purchased a vehicle that was not fit for use, and after returning it, they provided me with another car that was also faulty and lacked a functioning heater. I waited three weeks for repairs that never happened. I rejected the car under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and have been in constant communication with them through emails and letters. I've also sought advice from a consumer rights organization, which suggested maintaining a record of our communications. If they continue to ignore me, I may have to involve trading standards and pursue legal action. This situation has caused me significant distress; they should not be allowed to operate while taking advantage of hard-working individuals.

The car I bought did not go further…

The car I bought did not go further than 20 miles before the first of multiple problems. Power loss, engine coolant “water pump” gearbox and Turbo gone. When I spoke to them, they came out with a load of lies. Bought the car for my son, to get to work in. Cazzo don’t even check the frauds out.

Bought a car from the car centre less…

Bought a car from the car centre less than two weeks ago, having been told that the car was clear of any accidents.Upon reviewing the car, there has been damage to the back of the car that shows a rear impact and a very shoddy repair job on the bumper. When I contacted my point of contact, I was informed that they’d sort this out and that the damage to the boot was not there at point of sale.Following this, I have since received a phone call telling me the damage was there beforehand and they would not be fixing it.Having requested a full refund as expressed in writing, and is my right under the misrepresentation of sale in the consumers act 2015, I am now being told to wait for their legal team to respond to my letter.

Outstanding after sales/customer service

My daughter bought her first car a Peugeot 108 from here last Sunday, was delivered to her Wednesday. Unfortunately when she got up on the Thursday morning she noticed petrol had leaked onto the drive overnight. We rang the car center at 9am and they had a recovery lorry collect the car by 11.20, at 3.15 we phoned to see how things were and they told us it had all been fixed it was a simple loose fuel pipe issue which had been rectified and the car would be returned the same evening. They kept to their word and the car was returned just after 6pm and it is absolutely perfect now. Can't thank the car center enough for dealing with the issue so quickly and getting the car back to us the same day!Highly recommend buying from here

Bottom of the barrel car sales. AVOID

Absolute nightmare start to finish. Bought a car, 7k+ and immediatley broke down within 200 miles. Waited days for it to be recovered from the drive and then messed about waiting for refund several days after the car was collected. No communication from senior staff, just fobbed off with pathetic excuses time after time. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Sales and part-exchange were straightforward, but the after-sales service has been awful.Almost immediately I had problems. I was told my logbook with my private plates had been posted and registered, but when I notified my insurer they couldn’t find the plates. I later found out the car hadn’t been registered to me at all, meaning I was unknowingly driving with the wrong plates.I was also told the car would cost £20 a year in road tax — it’s actually £180.I was assured my part-exchange finance would be settled the day I collected the car. Instead, both I and my finance company had to chase them daily. They finally paid it on the last possible day, despite having my settlement details twice. Then came an oil spill on the day I got the car. I contacted them multiple times with no response, and when I finally got through I was told not to worry unless it happened again. It did — several times — until a larger spill triggered an oil warning light. Even then I was told they were too busy and to bring it in a week later. When I dropped it off at 10:30, by 2pm it still hadn’t been looked at. Another garage had checked it prior to me taking it and found an oil leak, brake issues, and poor wheel alignment and told me to take it back to the dealership. At one point they even told me that issues with used cars are normal, to which I had to explain that the car should have been fully checked before it was handed over to me.Citizens Advice informed me I was entitled to a refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I requested this in writing and asked them not to repair the car. They ignored the email, told me their legal team would contact me (they didn’t), and then called only to say the issue had been fixed — even though I had explicitly requested a refund. Citizens Advice confirmed they shouldn’t have repaired it once the refund request was made.To make things worse, they told me I would owe them money if I proceeded with the refund for a faulty car and citizen advice didn’t know what they were talking about, neither did the garage that I had check my car who advised me it wasn’t fit for purpose.Their communication is terrible, their understanding of consumer rights seems nonexistent, and their customer care is shocking. The whole experience has been extremely disappointing.
