I visited on Sunday for the carvery and found the place quite cold upon entering, which was unwelcoming. It took a while for the staff to seat us at our reserved table. Ordering food and drinks took almost 15 minutes. The venue is beautiful and rustic, but there were no fires for a cozy atmosphere. The meat was well cooked, but the vegetables were cold and limited in variety. The dessert was burnt and inedible, and there were no options for children, which was disappointing. I understand there were staffing issues, but serving burnt food is unacceptable. I won't be returning, even though I hoped for a nice family birthday meal.
