I had a gift card for a blowout in the local dry bar salon, but both locations near me closed during the pandemic, so I used it to buy products online. Drybar was the worst online purchase and customer service experience I’ve ever had. The website went down for maintenance right after I registered for emails and texts. I couldn’t order, and had to reset my password after waiting several days for their site to come back up. Then, they never sent me a 10% off coupon, as promised. I bought over $120.00 of products at full price, and while I was waiting (over a week and a half) for them to ship, I got a email regarding their Labor Day sale. Their entire website was 30% off. I called about my order status and to ask for a credit for the sale and they would not credit me for 30%, although my order hadn’t even shipped yet. In addition, they would not even give me the 10% off I was initially promised for that purchase and said I could use it in the future. Ok. Then I get an email from customer service after the rep investigated why I never got the 10% off code and she said it was because their website was being restructured after I registered…no code provided again. Then, she never replied when I asked her, “are you sending the discount code for future purchases?” No code and no response. When I finally received my order, two items were not included and were missing from the shipping manifest. I had to call them AGAIN, because the receipt didn’t explain why they weren’t included. I was told that they ran out of the items. Why not just say that on the shipping receipt?!? I don’t even know if I ever got a credit. Horribly unprofessional and rude customer service. I used to work at a high end retail beauty store, and there are much better products and service out there.
