I recently contacted The Gym Group to ask a simple question about whether they offer any discounts for unemployed new members. Unfortunately, I received a generic automated response that did not address my enquiry at all and then closed my query without providing any answer.
As someone genuinely interested in joining and prioritising my health, this was disappointing. I would have appreciated a clear yes or no rather than being redirected to a support page and having my case closed.
Customer service should feel responsive and personal — especially for straightforward questions.
