When I signed up for my membership, the manager recommended a free 1-month trial of the YANGA flavoured water subscription. He said it could be cancelled anytime, so I agreed to try it.

After tasting the water once, I cancelled immediately. Honestly, it was awful — very chemical taste with a terrible, unpleasant aftertaste.

A month later, I discovered that I had still been charged for the next month, even though I had definitely cancelled the subscription.

I contacted customer support, but they told me they couldn’t do anything and refused to refund me.

Very disappointing customer service.

If you’re planning to join The Gym Group, I STRONGLY recommend NOT signing up for the Yanga water subscription.

I FEEL THIS IS DECEPTIVE AND DISHONEST TOWARDS CUSTOMERS.

Great Value for money.
The trainers are lovely, very friendly and professional .
People who train in the morning before work are great, no egos & very positive, everyone wants to see each other do well.
No body shaming - all shapes & sizes work out, with no judgement.

Cons:
Management have the audacity to put up a sign, saying not to leave your personal belongings on the table, where people can keep an eye on their stuff. However, a huge amount of the lockers don’t lock. So, I have to leave my coat & gym back in and open locker & carry my keys & phone with me, when I train.

Whoever, the manager is they need to do better - sort the lockers out & we can all rest assured that our stuff is safe, while we train.

I am absolutely disgusted by the way this gym handled a serious theft incident today.
My younger brother had his expensive jacket stolen inside the gym by a group of young boys who are known for stealing people’s belongings — this is NOT their first time.
When my brother reported it to security, instead of helping him, they blamed him and said it was his fault because he didn’t use a locker. Since when does that make stealing acceptable??
He was extremely upset and even tried to follow the boys, risking his own safety, yet the staff showed zero concern.
When he asked them to check the CCTV cameras, they completely refused and said they “can’t do anything.” What is the point of having security and cameras if you refuse to use them when a crime happens inside your facility?
The most disgusting part is that they clearly did not take him seriously because he is young. If this had happened to an older adult, I highly doubt they would have responded this way.
This gym shows no responsibility, no protection for members, and no professionalism. Victim-blaming a young person instead of stopping repeated theft is unacceptable.
My father will be coming tomorrow, and this issue will not be ignored.
I strongly warn everyone: your belongings are NOT safe here, and if something happens, don’t expect the staff to help you.
Shame on this management.

Stay away from this venue as there have been repeated thefts from the gym and the authority is doing nothing. The type of thefts indicate that thefts are taking place by people from the inside.

Review: Disappointing and Unprofessional Customer Service Encounter

I contacted the company today to cancel one of my memberships, as I had mistakenly signed up for two different locations. Instead of receiving assistance, I encountered extremely rude and unprofessional behavior from a representative who only identified himself as 'John.' He refused to share his last name or any further identification, which I found quite alarming for a customer service agent.
I clearly articulated my situation, but he did not listen attentively, was dismissive, and ultimately failed to assist me as requested. His tone during the call was aggressive and confrontational. At one point, he accused me of interrupting him when I clearly did not, which made the conversation even more uncomfortable.
It felt as though he was already upset before our interaction and directed that frustration at me as a customer. This was a very unpleasant experience and completely unacceptable service.
I hope the company takes complaints like this seriously, as customers deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism at all times. I am still in search of a proper resolution to my issue.

A Disheartening Experience at the Gym

I had a very unsettling experience at this gym that made me question its true welcoming nature for newcomers or those recovering from injuries. While resting between sets and recording my weights and reps on my phone (not texting or recording), I was approached by other members who told me I didn’t belong in that area and should move to the “beginner’s area” instead of “sleeping on the machine.” I understand I was on the machine a bit longer than usual, but this was due to my recovery process. What further disappointed me was that when a trainer finally came over, instead of addressing the way I was treated, I was simply directed to a different machine. There was no effort made to ensure I felt comfortable or supported. For a gym that advertises itself as inclusive and welcoming, this experience felt quite the opposite. As a member for two years, it’s disheartening to feel judged and out of place for training responsibly as a beginner or recovering individual. I hope management takes a closer look at how beginners and injured members are treated on the gym floor.

Longtime member deeply disappointed by hygiene and safety issues

I have been a member of this gym since it first opened, and I need to clarify that my rating is not directed at the staff. The staff and personal trainers are truly exceptional—friendly, professional, and doing their best in challenging conditions. They are not the issue here. The real problems lie in hygiene, cleaning, operational failures, and the lack of oversight on both cleaning contractors and member behavior. The cleaning standards have been unacceptable from the beginning and have only deteriorated. Contractors seem to do the bare minimum. I've seen cleaners using the same mop for both floors and walls, which speaks volumes about the hygiene practices in place. Toilets and sinks are often inadequately disinfected, if at all. A specific example: on the night of 10/01–11/01, the men's toilets and sinks were completely clogged and unusable. The cleaner arrived, mopped the floor, and left without addressing the issue. As a result, the facilities remained unusable. The showers are another significant failure. They clearly aren't being checked or cleaned properly. A used pair of boxer briefs was left hanging inside a shower cubicle for days. This may seem minor, but it's extremely unhygienic and quite disturbing. No one should have to shower next to someone else's dirty underwear. The fact that it stayed there for days indicates a complete lack of basic oversight. Changing rooms are consistently dirty. Bottles, shakers, and personal items linger on lockers for days, indicating that lockers aren't being cleaned at all. Sometimes, locker interiors have unpleasant odors, and dressing counters are usually covered in powder, hair, and general mess. These are shared, high-contact areas that should be cleaned regularly, but they are not. There are also significant access and safety concerns. Many doors require codes, yet the system is often unreliable. Sometimes you can enter but cannot exit, and other times it's the reverse. The garage access has similar issues. Even more troubling, changing room doors are frequently deactivated, bypassing access control altogether. These are not minor inconveniences; they represent fundamental operational and safety failures in a 24-hour gym. Moreover, the accessible lift breaks down regularly—approximately once a month. For a facility that operates 24 hours, this is unacceptable and raises serious questions about accessibility, reliability, and duty of care. After hours, cleaning contractors typically arrive late and often consist of just one person. They usually stay until around 03:00–03:30, but much of that time appears to be spent on their phones or social media rather than actually cleaning. The results are evident. Member behavior exacerbates the situation. Dumbbells and weight plates are scattered throughout the gym, attachments go missing, bins are ignored, and trash is left everywhere in the changing rooms and showers. While some may not be bothered by mess, filth, and rubbish, it is a significant issue for me. This is a paid gym, and fundamental hygiene, safety, and respect for shared spaces should be a given. The gym has a great location, modern equipment, and a lot of potential. The staff are genuinely wonderful. However, all of this is overshadowed by alarmingly poor cleaning standards, unreliable access systems, repeated accessibility issues, careless contractors, and a lack of enforcement regarding hygiene and behavior. If there were another 24-hour gym nearby, I would switch without hesitation.

Fantastic Online Personal Training Experience

I’ve been collaborating with a personal trainer online, and the results have been outstanding. The trainer helped me significantly lower my body fat percentage through a well-structured training plan and ongoing support. They are knowledgeable, motivating, and always ready to answer questions or modify the program as needed. Even though our sessions were online, the guidance felt very personal and effective. I highly recommend this service to anyone aiming to enhance their body composition and overall fitness.
