Non-Payment Issue After Course Completion I collaborated with a training organization as an independent trainer, not as a student. I was contracted, signed their official booking form and terms, and delivered a comprehensive onsite training course for one of their corporate clients. After completing the training as agreed, I submitted my invoice. However, payment was refused, citing that the client had supposedly requested a refund due to 'negative feedback'. What I find unacceptable is that: I fulfilled the entire training day professionally and punctually. No formal complaint or evidence was ever provided to me. I was not given any chance to respond or defend my delivery. The refusal to pay was communicated unilaterally after the work was completed. As a contractor, you invest time, preparation, and travel, so being informed after delivery that you will not be compensated is extremely troubling. Regardless of client feedback, withholding payment without transparency or proof places all the risk on the trainer. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend trainers and contractors exercise caution, ensure everything is documented, and be prepared for payment disputes even after meeting their obligations.
