I have been with a number of services, but with TheoTrade I finally found the level and volume of instruction I have always been looking for in the market. I am a much better trader today because of the instruction that is here, day after day.
Consistent valuable education that is supported on an ongoing basis for us users long term with very successful results. I have been a member of Theotrade and student of several mentorships they offer for about 2 1/2 years and am quite satisfied and actually enthusiastic about the programs. Have seen some reviews where it is clear the objective of those reviewers was to find something wrong and whine about the costs. Too bad for those reviewers. They are obviously missing the point that the Theotrade program is very inexpensive for what it provides and the results pay for the costs involved many times over.
Anthony Avery, I have every sympathy for your position as a fellow disabled senior, but you should have realized before the end of the refund period that TheoTrade was not for you (by the way very few other services offer a refund). If you want a list of stocks/options to trade, go to the NUMEROUS other services. You will get the trades, but you will not get the support of TT there. (Also it has been my experience that such services will nickel and dime you to death, you buy a subscription and then it is renamed and sold to you again and again.) If you want a Ph.D./Professional Trader education then go to TheoTrade, if your disability or other circumstances don't allow a lot of study and classes go elsewhere. What I like best about Don Kaufman and company is that when the "stuff" hits the fan (like the 2021 pullback) they will give actionable explanation/information to "weather the storm." And turn a new situation in the market into an OPPORTUNITY.
I have been a member of TheoTrade for almost a decade. I started with a very small account comparatively to what others that were already established traders had. I am currently looking at retiring after a decade of trading and instruction from TheoTrade, approximately 30 years before retirement age.TheoTrade really is about teaching a lot of strategies and for you to choose what works for you. As well as giving you the knowledge on how to modify strategies to fit your mind and abilities.
TradeZaba is a done-for-you auto trading service offered by TheoTrade. I was told they expected 25% annual profits. I ended with a 6.4% loss on two of the services. There are numerous plans depending on account size. Don stated the Ultimate Theta needed a $250K account but could be purchased just for the alerts with a smaller account size for manual entry. This is not the case as the margin needed is great. A total waste of money. In one plan, I was assigned shares on one leg of a credit spread. Instead of exercising the other leg, the options were sold at market on a very volatile day. This cost me an additional $800 in losses. On another occasion, an alert was issued at 3:05 CST after the market so I was again assigned shares due to the late alert. I also attended a masterclass. While I liked the masterclass, I was told by the salesman that I would be given an opportunity in the class to recoup my expense. This was not the case as all sessions were after trading hours.
I must compliment TheoTrade for offering the best online courses as a part of their subscription. In the last decade I have subscribed to two other services (not appropriate to mention their names here) and paid more for them but did not learn as much from them as I have from the classes in the TheoTrade portal. I also appreciate the Theo Chat room where their instructors (also professional traders) share their insights on the markets and specific trades. Thank you TheoTrade!
The course promised a few trade recommendations a week and after receiving a lot less than guaranteed, I made a complaint to the sales team. I spoke with two people and stated how disappointed I was and attempted to contact their CEO. I was then told that my subscription was abruptly canceled and received a cold email from the CEO. I then viewed other online negative reviews and then wrote a few complaints on other sites. This company is not recommended for traders. Looking at the companies review on this site, 29% of people only give a 1 star which should tell you not to trust this scam.
If you just want someone to tell you what to invest in, move on. But if you want to learn the hows and whys of trading, this is an EXCELLENT service.It is very much a training service that shows you what trades they make in real time with an available portfolio. No secrets, no selling of "magic" indicators. WELL WORTH looking into.
