Fast friendly amd helpful information. I really appreciate the follow up confirmation seeing if I'd received the links to the courses, no other trading education platforms have done that, it really stood out to me.
Disappointed With TheoTrade — Inconsistent Results, Aggressive Marketing, and Poor Transparency.I joined TheoTrade for $2,000. I succumbed to their hype. Still, I had confidence, an open mind, and a genuine desire to improve my options and futures trading. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from what I expected or advertised. Following four suggested trades, none profitable, I’m down $562.62 yet I haven’t given up. Maybe I am missing something. I feel compelled to share an organized review for anyone considering the purchase of their services.
Maybe I got in at the wrong time. I signed up for their Ghost Signals. I had no desire to join all their courses (which is where they make their real money so maybe they offer more value). I took the trades they sent me as their alert signals. In 6 weeks, I've lost quite a bit of money on almost all the trades I took (especially those that expired today 2-20). I am still in some losing trades that will expire over the next few weeks. Maybe if you want to learn what they do so you can do it yourself, there's value. I can't say. Plus you get so many marketing emails because they're trying to upsell you into their educational programs. If you just want signals, it's not the best service in my opinion and experience. If you want to learn options, maybe they teach well. I don't know.To be fair -- what they did well: they have a nice app that gives the signals. The entry signals are very clear and easy to use. I could easily enter the trades on my brokerage account. Clear and easy to use. Their communication is almost great. I will also say - they may have a great company and a great product. I may have had the worst luck and timing when I signed up and just got in when all the trades went south. This is strictly based on my experience with their trades.UPDATE 3-3: While I did lose money on all but 1 of the initial trades that I got into, since I wrote the review, I have gotten another profitable trade and still have about 4 open. Also, I see from their alerts (that I stopped taking), that they are having a better run now. More profitable trades. I increased my score to 3 (instead of 1) because I think my experience was bad luck and timing. If I see that they in fact do have a good run, I might change my review yet again. Time will tell.
The hype was great. So I setup an account they traded on "auto-trade", which means their experts pulled the trigger on 100% of all trading in my account. The account was NEVER in the green at any moment during that year+ which suffered a significant percentage of loss, not to mention the hefty fee I paid to have them auto-trade. The account just slowly went lower and lower with each trade they did, and at a time when the overall market was going higher and higher.
During covid, I set my mind to learn options. I found Theotrade and was able to triple my pandemic money. I used the money as a deposit on my own apartment. The education was great and the trade signals were even better. Fast forward, I'm joining again after 4-5 years. Mad I had to spend my profits on a rental but glad to now be in a position to start up again. I can only imagine if I kept my account growing. You will learn as much as you can handle with Theotrade with no fluff at all.
