I Booked an appointment to talk to a vet about having my 22yr old Lhasa put asleep as he’s got doggy dementia .but I wasn’t sure if the time was right . She turned up with a form to sign I said wait i want to talk it through, my old boy shaking with fear,The vet thought it was time as I was cleaning up after him - the fact he was confused pacing in circles at night and stepping of high walls and could easily get seriously injured or suffering was what was going through my head. I agreed with the vet that it was time- he was shaking and couldn’t walk so good, she just Dragged him out of the room by his lead, he was shaking and pulling at his neck as he fought to get to me- i shouted I’ve changed my mind, she just ignored me he was so scared it shouldn’t have be like this. This is wrong. When she brought him back he had already been sedated and it was too late. What a Horrible female Vet. She even said to him I’m now going to overdose you with anaesthetics- I was disgusted by this.
