For me, the power MBA or ThePower is a total failure except for one important experience. To understand this assessment, I need to explain how it started. I enrolled at the end of October. During October, I received more than 20 emails from at least 7 different people and various other promotional emails. That's about one email per working day. Is this still advertising or already harassment? Unfortunately, I fell for this elaborate "advertising". After payment, it quickly becomes quieter. ThePower Business School is therefore doing power business for itself. Nevertheless, I have learnt one positive point for myself. I now reject all unsolicited offers immediately, with or without a money-back guarantee. As a result, I now only focus on the essential things in business and am therefore successful. My former CEO used to say, "Experience that costs nothing is worth nothing". I can now agree with that.
I like the platform and the structure of training. However, content wise I'm disappointed. It's not an MBA, not even close, be honest but provides an alternative to traditional teaching. Worst for me is the heavy dependence on start-ups, tech and platform companies. I have yet to see examples from any heavy industry companies. For example, the story of Gigmit is impressive but what I would really like to see you break down is a company like Bilfinger, Volkswagen, Continental etc and I do not see PowerMBA being able to do that. Anyways, hope I'm wrong, good luck to all with your journey.Apparently my review was not approved since I didn't provide additional info within 3 days. Is this correct? I would like a feedback on my comments
Unfortunately Rock{TheCode} part of the ThePowerMBA is very poor, i've not been on the course long and i could have saved myself money and used Codecademy for example, i was told i would be able to join live classes to help me understand my modules and that doesn't work, you have to request to join via Google Meet and wait for someone to allow you to join the class, I've been waiting 45 minutes until i decided to give up, today again unable to join, i don't actually believe this is really a feature. For over £3K for this bootcamp its definitely not worth it. YouTube is a better alternative.
UPDATE:ThePower Business School continues their poor business practice of having rigid refund policy, even if you do not use their service. If joining, watch a few videos QUICKLY to ensure you can cancel. But, if you watch TOO MANY, they won't offer a refund. A company, school or otherwise, that intentionally traps its customers is one to be avoided. AVOID.PREVIOUSThe modules are lengthy and there was no new information learned in the first 20-ish lessons. I completed 4.29% of the course and then asked for a refund. My refund request was denied. I stated that I did not learn anything new and therefore the courses were of no use and that I did not wish to waste my time with them. Still, no refund. This is a bit extreme. I don't care if the fine print 15 days has passed, this is common courtesy and ThePowerMBA should know that it is bad business to not refund very reasonable customers. What a disappointment. A business school with bad business principles. Yikes. Stay away.
Great experience as the program is flexible you have the opportunity to take the lesson, whenever and wherever. The lessons highlight the importance of every concept and give great examples of real life applications. I can only say great things about this.I am really glad to be part of The Power Business School community
