Speed Awareness Course. Lots of facts, some useful and new. Very little background, unwilling to engage in discussion. Delivery was defensive-aggressive, any attempt at humour was quickly closed down. Mark, in particular needs to learn how to de-escalate rather than make sarcastic comments for the remainder of the presentation.
The instructor was approachable, skilled, and I found the course to be very enlightening and engaging. It encouraged just the right level of participation without making anyone feel uncomfortable! I will certainly modify my driving habits after finishing!
I felt a bit anxious upon arrival, but once the instructors began explaining the course and its structure, I felt at ease and was able to engage fully. This experience provided me with valuable insights to improve my skills as a safer driver, especially regarding the importance and rationale behind speed limits.
I recently participated in a speed awareness course led by two knowledgeable and approachable instructors. They were respectful and skilled in their presentation, making the course very effective in encouraging positive behavior changes for those prone to speeding.
I wish to formally address concerns about the instructor's behavior during a recent course I attended. As a trained professional driver, I found their approach to be dismissive and inappropriate for a learning setting. The instructor often spoke in a condescending manner and treated the material as if it were confidential, rather than part of a public educational program. Additionally, the constant reminders of potential removal from the course and penalties felt overly intimidating. This created an environment that felt more punitive than educational, which contradicts the course's intent. I believe this needs to be reviewed to ensure future participants are treated with the respect they deserve.
I just completed my online SAC with the service. All necessary information for smooth enrollment was provided well in advance. Expectations for the modules and time were clearly communicated at the start. The trainer conducted the session exceptionally well, fostering an interactive environment that encouraged meaningful participation. It was highly informative and improved my road awareness, promoting new ways of thinking and acting. Truly beneficial!
