My husband & I found a sofa/love seat at the RoomPlace in Algonquin, IL at the beginning of Sept. We purchased them, but were on backorder. No problem. My husband found info online to get free delivery (it was going to cost approx $150.). He emailed the sales associate the info, & also left a msg to have him call us. The sales assoc never called us, never responded to the email we sent. We called again, no response. My husband ended up going in to the store to talk to our salesman to see if we would get free delivery. He was told this situation would be forwarded to the GM. Never heard from the GM either!! He emailed their customer service with all the info. He was called back, but said the woman could not have been any more rude! She said she'd follow up, but never did.I have worked in retail mgmt for years, & cannot even fathom not getting back to a customer!!! What poor customer service! After several weeks, we decided to see if this sofa/loveseat could be found elsewhere. We did find it online, for a better price than the RoomPlace. So we cancelled the RoomPlace order. My husband then got a call from customer service. He explained that if we had any issues after the delivery, we didn't know if anyone would respond or even care.I will not step inside a RoomPlace again. We were left hanging, no one, including the GM, ever felt it necessary to contact us. The epitome of poor customer service!!!
