Rachel Carson was our instructor, she is dedicated and her knowledge of the subject was second to none. I really enjoyed the whole experience from booking the course to participating. The Signature Brand are extremely good at what they do and the instructors are superb, I would definitely work with them again in future.
For me it was very informative and I have come away with a lot more knowledge around RIPA . I will need to incorporate this in our processes, as there was a lot I wasn't aware of. It really does make you think about what you do and how you do it. I found the training very relaxed and I was comfortable asking questions relevant to what I do.
Although I am (and never have been) a fan of role playing I completely accept that it is the best method to use in the type of training I recently undertook. It's more about my self-conciousness as opposed to being about a poor training method. Despite my self-confessed, relatively minor misgivings and the fact that I spent 30 years interviewing people for a living, I thoroughly enjoyed the course. I have always seen the merit of undertaking further training to refresh prior learning, absorb new trends and keep myself up to date. The role players were fully in character and clearly knew their subject well. The pace of the training was ideal with no unnecessary 'padding' that I have expereienced previously.
I found the course helpful and informative. The instructor was knowledgable and was able to use his his previous experience to guide us, especially for someone like myself with very limited interviewing experience. Due to the amount of people on the course, actual interviewing time was a bit limited but watching other peoples styles helped form my own.
I have been a RIPA practitioner across proactive policing since inception. Training in this was excellent back then and experience was always key to development. However, things have clearly moved forward and an update was long overdue. Adrian's delivery was excellent, catering to a wide range of experience, covering legal requirements for those now in the private sector. He covered considerations relating to public authority aspects of Royal Mail while balancing commercial elements in what might otherwise be treacherous ground.
