I've used Trainline a few times and I find it easy use. I prefer to book on the website and then download tickets from the phone app.
I accidentally booked and paid for tickets online and then realised I'd booked for the wrong dates. I tried to cancel and get a refund but it wasn't an option online without a phone call.
I tried again on the phone app and was immediately able to cancel the tickets for a refund since I had made the cancellation request within 15 minutes of the purchase. The money was refunded within a couple of days.
I think this is quite good service but interesting that I couldn't easy find an option to request a refund using the website.
