I ordered a DIY terrarium from theurbanbotanist for my wife, for Christmas. It was a present from her children. As it was a Christmas present with living plants, I selected the special Christmas Delivery option to ensure it arrived in time for Christmas but not so early all the plants would die! I ordered in plenty of time (over a month ahead) with delivery to be completed by DPD. Unfortunately, during the delivery process, DPD must have had a problem. I first got a message saying it had been delivered to the wrong address, then another saying it was returning to DPD depot... hours on the phone and chat resolved nothing - I suspect it got dropped and broken, well - accidents happen, I can live with that. However, DPD told me the only was I could resolve this before Christmas was for The Urban Botanist to contact them. I contacted The Urban Botanist and what did I get? Wishing you a wonderful day!Warm regards,Anne***Now - everyone is entitled to some time off over the holidays but if you are going to offer a special christmas delivery then you have to make sure somebody is available to sort out any issues which arrive over that period, otherwise you cant call it a special christmas service. The subsequent engagement from Botanist when they eventually returned to work on 3rd Jan was less than impressive. Refusing to send a replacement until investigation with DPD was complete and in fact not sending a replacement until DPD had actually returned the item to them! The upshot was my son and daughter had no gift for their mum on Christmas Day. No material care from Botanist. Highly suggest you can do this yourself instead of using these jokers. Buy a vase and a cork lid, add 1-2cm clay stones for drainage, add 1-2cm compost, add sprinkle of charcoal, add another 1-2cm compost, add 3 small plants and you're away.
