Hand crafted my ass. Has Made in China on the back cover. Also took a month to get to me. Bezel doesn't rotate and you'd think if this was normally $399 the quality would be better. No instructions sent on how to set digital display. Notice their reply doesn't address any of my issues? Funny how when I did this review, there were only 2 other reviews, both positive. Now there's more after thomson watches replied.. all positive.. hmmm scam to get their reviews up?
Glowing web site and huge discounts offered as part of a retirement sale. I was taken in and purchased a 'dual tourbillon at 80% off list. I later found the same watch for 1/20th of their list price on other on line retailers sites. I also found that this isn't a tourbillon watch, simply a dual escapement watch.Shipping was OK, trackable.As I'd had the watch shipped to my old address I had to wait before getting it. Watch seemed OK, good for a $40 watch, the Chinese online price.I wore it for an hour that evening, all the next day and that day after I went to put it on and found that one of the escapement had stopped, the other didn't look too good. And none of the hands were working. Email, including complaints about the rip off pricing resulted in a promise of a replacement, but pricing comments were ignored. Also my claim for a refund. There's no sign of the replacement having been shipped, either.I'd received an email request from them for trustpilot feedback and this had a link. I duly filled in a poor review based on price and false product description(before the thing broke). This has not appeared on trustpilot.Date below is order date.So 1 star rating for1 exorbitant pricing2 false claims on Web site.3 Chinese mass produced product, not personally hand built4 Filtering negative feedback from appearing on trustpilot. Update. 14 August. Blatant lie from Thompson Watches. They claim to not edit reviews. What they do is filter reviews yhat are less than 4 stars. These never appear on Trustpilot. Sadly trustpilot don't want to take action, so the impression given of Thompson watches is false and in essence this devalues all trustpilot ratings.
