DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THRIVEWORKS!!!!I’m currently disputing a $210 charge for a cancellation fee. Mind you, I had no appointments scheduled for the date they have listed on the cancellation. They charged a copay but failed to tell clients it was no longer required. Only after I mentioned to my therapist that I was discontinuing sessions because I couldn’t afford it, was I told they shouldn’t be charging it anymore. I truly enjoyed my therapist, but if they’re allowed to be late and cancel sessions on the DAY OF, why are you charging the clients $135 plus fees for the same thing!?!?! Also, at one point they weren’t even sending me my meeting notifications and when in told my therapist and psychiatrist about it, I was told they were having issues after switching to a new system (who knows if that was true). I’m glad I have emails from my therapist canceling my appointments on the same day they were scheduled and I’m also glad I saved every single appointment email. So now I’m stuck fighting the bogus charges with a collection agency. I reached out to my therapist about it and was told the company took over the cancellation fees in April/May and charging customers because therapists weren’t charging….A complete money grab! I’ve postponed appointments and rescheduled when my therapist was having personal issues, nobody sent me $135 for the inconvenience!!! But they happily charged me a bogus fee for a fake cancellation. This company is a scam and a complete disservice and detriment to people who truly need help. While the collection agency does their research, I’m researching my legal options to hold them accountable. If you signed up with them….GET OUT NOW and callYour insurance company for a referral.
