We purchased a used vehicle from a dealership for around £7,000. Within months, it developed significant issues, including knocking noises, oil leaks, and excessive oil consumption. Eventually, we learned the vehicle had a serious internal engine fault. The dealership refused to acknowledge this as a formal rejection under consumer rights, offering a 'goodwill repurchase' with an unreasonable deduction. Our requests for a formal rejection were denied, and the matter is now with external authorities.
