We live in Christchurch and were booked for a week in Auckland, including on-line ticketing for The Music Man on October 12th. We really looked forward to the show.Unfortunately a medical event led to the cancellation of our visit a couple of days prior. All the rest of our cancellation procedure worked well but contact with Ticketmaster proved impossible. We would have preferred a credit but would have been happy to pass our tickets on to friends in Auckland. Contact with Ticketmaster proved impossible so we tried to transfer to friends - but Ticketmaster have a requirement that the credit card used must be presented to collect tickets. My friend confirmed this at the theatre box office the day before. We could not pass on our credit card so we were left unable to pass our "booked and paid for" tickets to friends. We have been bitterly disappointed by the most unhelpful non-contact with Ticketmaster. The outcome of this episode is that we cannot recommend booking through the Ticketmaster web site as it fails to provide customer support when needed.Alastair Stokes
