A Nelson D'Silva
Palais Theatre Management invited top Performer Sir Cliff Richard to a Venue of Hell

I am an aged man in the late 70s and I grew up listening to Cliff's songs as well as Sang his songs. I am from Tasmania. I took my wife and flew into Melbourne and I finally made it to Palais Theatre. This theatre is a joke in modern era. It was built in the 1927's. It was probably fine for those times but not for to-days life style. Cliff and his team made a huge mistake in performing and accepting the venue for his presentation. I saw him in Birmingham 10 years ago at the LG theatre. It was damn good. At the Palais theatre mostly English people aged with walking sticks were struggling to walk up the steps. One even fainted walking up. Such a horrible experience. I also struggled. My wife was recovering from a right leg surgery. Cliff's face or his band members faces couldn't be seen sitting from the top rear spot. There were no side screens for people to see Cliff's or his band members face. No video recordings of his performances. What a damn shame. You charged patrons huge sums of money for tickets and yet you put on a lousy performance for people to come and see him sing. The Management of Palais theatre used his team to make money. This building should be torn down and rebuilt This is Melbourne's old museum stuff but not for to-days lifestyle. The Management should be ashamed of this arrangement and promoting the Melbourne's Old rotten theatre. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Cliff made a huge mistake. yet, the theatre was almost fully packed why? Because mostly British people grew up as I did listening to his songs and acts in Films and wanted to see him. Not a good way of promoting such world renown top performer having received the British Knighthood SIR, Cliff Richard. You ought to be ashamed yourselves inviting top performers to stage performance in this old rotten building with no rails for elderly people to walk up to hold as they climb up and down. You got my feedback. I will be writing to the Victorian Premier and politicians about this.
