Hi people,I hate handing out brickbats but our experience using your app to attent Jesus Christ Superstar was not a good one.Firstly, downloading and setting up the app was not that easy but we battled through it and got there in the end.Not being overly confident with technology I took the precaution of printing our receipt and taking it along with us bcause I noticed that the bar code on the 'phone was a lot narrower than on the printed version. At the venue, sure enough, the usher's reader could not read the 'phone's bar code and after repeated attempts sent us back to the ticket office where the staff provided us with paper tickets which scanned easliy. We noticed other people in the line ahead of us having the same problem and some were able to get through by adjusting their 'phones' brightness settings. Not being habitual "'phone fiddlers" and not wanting to hold up the line we did not have this option. No complaints about Crown's staff - all of them were courteous and helpful and we had arrived early so didn't miss anything but this should not happen. This creeping dependency on electronic devices is fast becoming a disease which needs to be stopped. Paper "print at home" tickets always worked perfectly and are a far more user friendly option so why force patrons to fiddle around installing an inefficient app which will probably only be used a few times a year? The golden rule for apps is just because you can design one does not mean you should.I hope you will take this on board and provide your future customers with a better experience than we had.Kindest regards,Colin Ballard, Yep! another "boomer" ; ) 21 February 2025
