Firstly, thank you for putting together such a strong lineup. The artists were outstanding — Australia truly does have remarkable talent. Kate, Mossy, Icehouse and Barnsey still brought more energy than I can muster most days. It was a privilege to see performers of that calibre in such a setting.

Ticketing and pre-event communication were also handled very well. Information was clear, expectations and rules were outlined (even if not everyone chose to follow them), and the process leading up to the day felt organised and professional.

Unfortunately, the event-day management didn’t reflect that same standard.

The parking setup significantly slowed arrival. Traffic merged from two lanes down to one at the point of entry, creating unnecessary congestion. It would have made far more sense for traffic to split at that point to improve flow.

Parking in a stubble paddock on a mid-30s day was also concerning, particularly without any visible fire presence. Combined with the walk of over a kilometre to the venue in that heat, it made the arrival experience unnecessarily difficult for many attendees.

We had reserved seating. After lining up to enter and walking down to the seating area, we were directed back up the hill to collect wristbands. The queue for reserved seating stretched nearly back to the original point of entry — effectively where wristbands could have been issued in the first place.

Amenities were another area of concern. Generic, mixed-use toilets are not what we expect at a large, well-ticketed event. Many comparable venues provide clearly separated male and female facilities, which improves cleanliness and comfort. Guys, we need to aim better. There was also only one hand-wash station, which ran out within the first hour and was not refilled.

The non-alcoholic drink offering was particularly disappointing. There were no non-alcoholic wine options at all — despite this being a growing and mainstream trend. Beyond that, non-alcoholic options were essentially limited to soft drinks or water. Sugar-free soft drinks had run out before 5:30pm, leaving water as the only viable choice. For a premium-ticketed event at a winery, this felt like a significant oversight and poor inclusivity for non-drinkers.

The food vendor layout compounded crowding issues. Vendors were positioned directly opposite each other with a narrow corridor between, creating a bottleneck as queues formed on both sides. While peak-dinnertime demand is understandable, the configuration amplified congestion unnecessarily.

I offer this feedback constructively because the bones of a truly excellent event are clearly there - quality line up of performers, strong ticketing processes, and a beautiful setting. Other nearby venues are demonstrating how smoothly these events can operate.

Thank you again for the opportunity to attend. I hope this feedback assists in refining future events.
