Regardless of buying first class and and even if you actually reserve a seat (a ridiculous separate process), despite the website stating first class seats “come with seat reservations”, it’s basically every person for themselves when trying to grab a seat. And to make matters worse, 48 hours notice of border closing due to strike so no opportunity to return into Germany.Find a different way to travel from Berlin to Vienna!
