I would like to share my awful experience with TicketSmarter. I had never heard of the company but my credit card company had a special offer if I used them. I purchased tickets for a hockey game for me and my son and we drove 3 hours to get to the game. It was an event we were both looking forward to for some time. When we arrived our tickets would not scan. I went to the box office and was told that the tickets were sold to someone else. When I contacted TicketSmarter they told me they mistakenly sold me invalid tickets. They offered me two tickets in worse seats and in two separate sections. I told them that I was there with my minor child and that was not acceptable. Furthermore, I purchased these tickets so we could enjoy the game together. They apologized for the inconvenience and told there was nothing more they could do. Since I had driven 3 hours to get to the game, I felt I had no other option but to buy two tickets together from the box office. Those tickets were substantially more expensive than the original tickets. In order to make things right, TicketSmarter should have paid for the second set of tickets I purchased or at the very least the difference between the two sets of tickets. I had to dispute the original charge with my credit card company. I would not recommend this company unless you don’t really care about getting valid tickets to an event. They do not provide good customer service and will not stand behind their product.
