I was not informed that the company is based in China until I checked the tracking. It has been three weeks, and my package (wooden utensils) is still stuck in customs since December 22 after moving around China. I'm hesitant to use a product that might have been poorly handled and could be toxic. Is there lead in the coating, similar to other products from this region? I am requesting a refund. I'm interested in hearing about others' experiences with refunds from this company. I might consider filing complaints for misleading business practices since there is no mention of China on their website. If my package eventually arrives, will it be damaged or not as described? Will it have a chemical odor? I regret ordering these utensils, and if they do arrive, I intend to have an expert check if they are truly teak.
