AVOID THIS COMPANY – THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR POLICY. We discovered this provider while searching for travel insurance and mistakenly trusted their high ratings. We booked a significant trip to Portugal for December 11, 2025, and purchased their Gold plan to protect our investment. However, just two days before our departure, we learned that our flight was canceled due to a major labor strike in Portugal. While the airline quickly refunded our ticket, our accommodation hosts refused to return our $4,500 deposit, citing a strict no-refund policy. We turned to our travel insurance, believing it would cover us in this situation. After submitting our claim with all necessary documentation, the company began requesting additional information and ultimately denied our claim, arguing that the strike only lasted 24 hours, despite the widespread disruption it caused. We appealed their decision, providing further evidence of the extensive impact of the strikes, but they continued to deny our claim. This experience has shown us that this provider is just another insurance company that takes your money but finds loopholes to avoid paying legitimate claims. I share this to warn others; if they deny coverage for such a significant event, you may face similar issues.
