This happen long time ago but I am still frustated by Tissot behavior.I bought the first Tissot Touch model in the Middle East upon returning from a mission.I had the watch for over 10 years, and one day the battery needed replacing. I contacted an authorized dealer in France, who sent the watch to Tissot in Switzerland.Tissot's response was this:"We will not change the battery or do anything else to your watch. We had a 10-year legal obligation to maintain these watches, which has now ended. We have decided to take back all the first-series Touch watches. We will keep your watch, and in exchange, we will give you a discount voucher to buy another Touch. But there will be no battery replacement or anything else."I tried to negotiate with them, offering to sign a waiver, stating that only the battery needed changing, etc., etc. Nothing worked. UNACCEPTABLE. How can a watch I bought be exchanged for a discount voucher and kept by the brand?I called them, try to explained that my watch had sentimental value and that I absolutely did not want to part with it... but it was no use.I asked to get my watch back. Later a watchmaker in Switzerland changed the battery but didn't guarantee that the watch was "waterproof" as it was originally, because Tissot equipment is required to do this on this type of watch :( .Never Tissot again..Seiko , Longines etc but this really sucks
