In 2014 i bought a Tissot Powermatic 80 Chronometer watch. After 2.3 years of use a fabrication error reoccurs - just after the warrenty had expired. It then miraculously works again but rebroke today (after 5.5 years).Tldr; My Tissot broke several times in under 6 years. It’s built to brake.Full story:1. Failiure: After about 1.5 years of use a small metal nut was visible from the backside and the watch stopped working.I got the watch fixed free of charge. Great.2. Failiure: about 6 mounths later the same problem occured. The repair wasn’t holding up.Because the warrenty had expired I had to pay around 300 EUR for the repair.I choose to stop using it altogether. So much for investing in an expensive watch.About a year later the watch miraculously started working again.3. Failiure: the rim broke and i bought a new original one for 70 EUR. Stupid me.4. Failiure: today the sqare metal thing surrounding the date number fell of leaving me with a completely broken watch. I would’ve attach a picture, but I’m not sure I can do that in here.In conclusion: I thought that if i took good care of this 350 EUR watch it would last decades. I’ve never been more wrong. I’ll never again buy a Tissot watch. So keep my story in mind before you invest.
