I’ve been using Toluna for three months now, completing surveys in my downtime – here’s what I’ve found.
The Good:
• Surveys come through regularly (a few times a week) and cover lots of different topics from shopping habits to tech opinions.
• The mobile app is really easy to use – great for knocking out a survey while waiting for a coffee or on the commute.
• Cashing out was straightforward: I’ve got £20 so far via PayPal and a Tesco gift card, with no delays or problems when redeeming points.
The Not-So-Good:
• Disqualifications are a pain – I’d say I get booted out of about a third of surveys, even after spending time on the opening questions.
• Points add up slowly. Most surveys are 50-200 points (5p-20p each), so you need to be patient to reach the £10 minimum payout.
• Some longer surveys (20+ mins) don’t pay any more than shorter ones, which feels like a waste of time.
Final Thought:
If you’re looking to make a bit of extra cash or get gift cards without much effort, Toluna is decent. Just don’t expect to earn enough to pay bills – it’s best as a little bonus for your spare moments.
