I purchased my first LUMOS back in December 2023 and have not looked back. The LUMOS has a slim design that some might find a little awkward to use, but I don't mind it at all. I tend to keep it with black ink, and it is my main home writing pen now.To reduce the need to change tips and reservoirs frequently when I wanted a colour change, I purchased a DUO in Feb 2024, along with a few more spare tips and reservoirs. They had also started making the little tip storage pots by this time, allowing me to swap the nibs and colours with fair ease.I have also purchased a WREN, which lives on my desk at work. Many might find this a more comfortable writing experience than the LUMOS; the pen is a little chunkier, but I find both comfortable.I recently purchased a LUMOS mini with the loop lid, which I have attached to my keys, so I have a pen on the go. My only comment is that the coating has been damaged by my keys, so if I were to consider this now, I would suggest an "unfinished/uncoated" version, which would be more scratch-resistant.I have also purchased a number of the inks for use with my collection, and while getting a WREN for a gift for a friend, I contacted customer service for some assistance. You see, two of the inks from my early purchase do not have the new Tom's Studio labels. The customer service team have been exceptionally helpful and will dispatch these labels for me to put on the bottles myself, as I have now set up a little display of Inks near my desk, and it will make the whole collection look more cohesive.

The idea for Tom's business came from watching his wife Gemma use a plastic mass-produced calligraphy pen which he felt didn't match the quality of her beautiful work. With his background in furniture and product design which he studied at university and his experience of working in a blacksmith's forge, he decided to make her a better pen that she would love using every day.See more
