I collect flexible nibs, as I use the all the time. I read Tom’s studio reviews and bought a titanium flex nib for £35. Added ebonite feed for £15 so that the flex nib would be well “fed”. I received a semi-flex nib at best, too stiff and also too fine, so there’s no pleasure to use it as everyday writer- it leaves pale thin line no matter how wet the ink I use. TS asked me for a review so I told them the same as here. They took it down on their website very quickly. As I inked the nib, there’s no return. They don’t consider it faulty-it isn’t, it’s simply bad! £50 into the bin, and rubbish customer service!

Hand-crafting creative tools you'll look forward to using every day and treasure for the rest of your life. The idea for Tom's business came from watching his wife Gemma use a plastic mass-produced calligraphy pen which he felt didn't match the quality of her beautiful work. With his background in furniture and product design which he studied at university and his experience of working in a blacksmith's forge, he decided to make her a better pen that she would love using every day.See more
