Using topdoctors.co.uk I booked a video consultation with a doctor. After 5 days the doctor's office got in touch to offer a face-to-face appointment in 2 weeks or a telephone appointment. This is not what was advertised and not what I paid for.Topdoctors appears to be selling video consultations and the doctor doesn't know about it.Topdoctors claim they are not responsible and that the doctor is responsible for advertising an e-consultation service. However, I think Topdoctors could do more to ensure that the doctor is able to offer e-consultations before accepting payment. If there is no e-consultation, what is the point of going through Topdoctors when you can just contact the consultant's secretary directly?UPDATE: I have been promised a refund but Topdoctors continues to advertise video consultations with the same doctor who they know very well does not offer this. Are Topdoctors a scam? I'm not sure, but I have found their website to be misleading possibly even dishonest.UPDATE2: Thank you for your reply, Topdoctors. Your offering, if it worked, would be great for both patients and doctors -- I wish you success fixing the problems.
