Fascist site staff that ban you without warning and without chance of defending or explaining yourself. Hosts media that supports and calls for violence and genocide, actively allows their users to witch-hunt and slander people. Will ban you for your activity OUTSIDE of their site, would not recommend 0/10 highly overhyped
Toyhou.se was one of the first websites I trusted. It really stuck out to me compared to the other websites I traded collecting characters, buying, or selling. Toyhouse is very well protected, their services really take care of characters and the people who participate. I have not ever met a predator or scammer, or troll. Im not saying it isn't possible, but the community is so well put together that if you did all you have to do is tell a couple of people and they will make sure whoever that person is will be banned from the website. So I can assure you your kid will be much safer on here than amino apps, Instagram, youtube, Snapchat. As such those websites you can post your face to and see nudity with no protection, full of other predators because those websites are more open to the public than toyhouse is. You need a code to get into toyhouse, and yes it can be hard to find one, but it gets people more motivated to join rather than having troll or scammers making multiple free accounts and destroying the website. You put in an age then if your under 18 it WILL put a filter so you would never see nudity if you are underaged. Toyhouse is also a great place to improve your art, and designs at no cost. You upload a design and depending how good it is you can make a bank, with %100 profit to yourself. Its also a place with really active people so if you do good with art you'll more or less likely to be seen and become an artist with multiple requests to be commissioned. Its a really great way for younger people(or teens) to express themselves since drawing is a hobby that has peaked interest in those ages. I like how there is also no in-app currency, like amino apps you could buy coins to buy adoptables. But the problem is that more than %40 of the characters on there are stolen because amino does not have an effective way to have characters verified, like toyhouse.
Are you a creator with any integrity whatsoever? Do you explore and appreciate creative freedom? Then stay as far away from toyhou.se as possible.Toyhou.se is nothing but a gross echo chamber of people who do not allow a smidge of creative freedom. If you are not following along with their herd mentality, with art or OCs that follow their general consensus of what is acceptable, you will be harassed and probably banned.I myself was told I was "suspicious" because quite often I would find myself venting (on the appropriate board) about a topic quite close to my heart and that I deal with, in real life, on a regular basis: being a short adult and having to fight for every ounce of respect I ever receive. Since this is important to me, I would often make OCs that dealt with similar themes. I was immediately gaslighted into believing there was something wrong with me, and that anyone who ever interacted with me respectfully and as an adult was mentally deranged or sick, because clearly, my being short somehow trumps my legal adult status and I should be treated as a child. Please be aware I have been a legal adult for a long, long time. I remember a time before AOL. The majority of toyhou.se would prefer, I suppose, if I simply wasted away until I "looked my age"? Or perhaps they would like me to change myself utterly by expensive, invasive surgeries, just because my genetics are different than theirs. They have no concept that someone may write something in fiction, and not agree with it in reality.Stay far, far away from the site and the people who say it's a safe, friendly space.
The users may be fewer than other popular websites but it’s got a great community and you seldom (even don’t) hear about cyber bullies and drama.I appreciate how it’s not another scroll-and-like feed. Let’s also point out customization and settings being VERY extensive. I recommend this website to anyone who wants their original characters seen :)
You actually get warnings if you unknowingly break rules instead of just being banned then and there, users are very civil and you rarely get any stupid internet drama or gossip-obsessed people on there, as the staff doesn't tolerate it. They respond to inquiries fairly quickly. You generally stick to yourself but that's how I like it.
I love this site, have been using it for a few years now. It's a great OC storing site to put all your writing and art together as well as forum activities and so on. Sometimes errors happen or the site isn't reachable but it only lasts for a couple minutes then it's back up. (Probably server refresh or similar) Overall I can recommend it. You need an invite to join but it's worth it.
Amazing art-related site. Invite-only has served it well and so far it's THE best service for character storage and organization. Clean UI, straight-forward functionality, regularly updated, and trustworthy. Have also had no issues with payment for premium.I use this site religiously not only to keep track of my own OCs but to find new ones to draw when I'm bored.
