Bought a 2023 Toyota Tundra Truck. Various small problems fit and finish. Then on a service call in 2025 told my engine would fail due to main bearing problems known but hidden by Toyota for over a year ( I was told previously my engine was not affected by the dealer). Requested Lemon law but denied by Toyota saying they have to try to fix it three times. Told to replace engine would be over a year by dealer and it could fail at any time. If failed still would take a year to replace. Letter from Toyota said gather history of repairs and service but web site referred to had no link to send documents. No link on Toyota letters or address to send documentation. Then I was quickly sent a denial letter in less than 30 days. I am a 72 year old man, on oxygen, who lives in a semi rural area and cannot be stranded somewhere. Toyota said too bad. Dealer said they could work out a deal on a new vehicle and Toyota would help as the value of the truck was plummeting due to engine failures. Once at dealer they hemmed and hawed saying Toyota was now not willing to deal or kick in money. Dirty dealing from start to finish. Got some trade in value from an engine failing truck to purchase a different vehicle from the dealer, no Toyota help in devaluation. Toyota does not stand by its product, deceptive and is uncaring. This was a unexpected financial hardship on me. Toyota case # 251013001272.Suggest federal government take a close look into Toyota and their swindle of a senior citizen.
