Bought a new Timberline grill/smoker in early 2021. First, the taste of meats prepared on the Traeger cannot be beat. Particularly smoking and reverse searing gives the meat a flavor that gets rave reviews, but....I live in Florida and I cannot recommend the grill for those who live in high humidity regions. Reason number 1, RUST! Everything but the stainless steel shelves is rusting badly. Not just internals but the barrel, legs, sides, everything. Reason number 2, humidity is soaked up by the pellets and then they will not ignite. Traeger says to remove all of the pellets after each use and keep them in a dry area. Really? So after the BBQ when the friends and family are gathered around to socialize, I am supposed to remove all of the pellets from the hopper and chute? How exactly? I've tried removing as many as possible from the hopper and then using a shop vac to suck the ones from the chute. What a pain! Not to mention the expense. Pellets are expensive. I will probably only get about one more year out of the Traeger before it is unusable. Not what I expected from a $2800 grill. I'm going back to a stainless steel propane grill after this experience.
